Five Reasons to Take TeenQuest

The TeenQuest program is a great opportunity to get teens ready to join the workforce. With the help of mentors, students will learn how to write resumes, how to handle interviews, and what skills are necessary to get and keep a job.

1. Resume writing is crucial for getting a job, and knowing what to include in your resume, how to format it, and what information is needed is a key part of landing a job.
2. Learn how to interview. Once you’ve landed an interview, you have to know what to say and how to say it to move forward in the hiring process.
3. Prepare for your job. Getting the job is important, but so is keeping it. You must have the right attitude and communication skills to keep your new job and advance.
4. Master financial literacy and set goals. The future is yours, and knowing how to manage your money and plan for the future will put you on the path to success.
5. Get a summer job. Taking the TeenQuest program makes students eligible for the Summer Youth Initiative, a part of the program that allows students to get summer employment. Spend your summer earning money and using your new skills as you set off on your path to the future.
