With Feb. 21 quickly approaching, the date that the Michigan Supreme Court’s decision on earned sick time and minimum wage will take effect, the Flint & Genesee Chamber and Flint & Genesee Education & Talent is partnering to host a webinar that will cover how these laws will affect local employers.
The Michigan legislature is racing to add definition and narrow the parameters of these laws. Regardless, all employers will be affected even if new laws pass before the rules take effect. It is critical for organizations to be prepared for the financial impact and staff management practices that are needed to meet the requirements.
During this webinar, the Flint & Genesee Group’s government relations firm Kelley Cawthorne will give an overview of the new state laws, share basics of the new requirements, explain which types of employees were be included, tell us how the new law will impact Genesee County, and answer frequently asked questions.
