|

Supporting the automotive industry since 1985, Global Technology, DAG, and Transpak are world leaders in sales, engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing. The new facilities in Holly for both DAG Technology and its sister company Transpak, Inc. are an expansion of family-owned operations into Genesee County. DAG Technology specializes in plastic-injected automotive parts and the new Grand Blanc operation houses a state-of-the-art paint line to help localize manufacturing. Transpak’s work consists of repackaging and shipping wheels, center caps, and kitting all General Motors owner’s manuals.

“We are family-owned and continue to have a ‘mom and pop’ feel even though business is always growing,” says Lindsay Rivenburgh, Human Resources Manager for the companies “We have the best employees. I am continually so proud to see how committed everyone is to the team and helping each other succeed.”

Rivenburgh also notes that working for these organizations is an excellent way to get into the automotive industry within a successful organization. All while being part of ramping up a new facility.

“The opportunity for job advancement is there for whoever shows interest and motivation because these are all new positions that we continue to add,” says Rivenbaugh. “On an ongoing basis, we are looking for anywhere from five to 10 employees.”

At DAG and Transpak, entry-level jobs include light assembly, quality inspection, and shipping and receiving. These jobs have the opportunity for advancement into other roles such as line leaders, shift supervisors, and other administrative or office roles.

And with these jobs come perks. At 90 days, employees receive a raise. Benefits are available for full-time workers which include two weeks of paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with minimal overtime.

“We have great managers here and it’s a comfortable place to work,” says Rivenburgh. “We have a lot of longevity, and many times employees have left and ended up coming back.”

With room for growth and a good work environment, DAG and Transpak are great options for those who are early in their careers or just entering the workforce.
