Find a Job for the Summer!

A summer job can help a teen establish a work ethic, get them accustomed to the responsibilities that come with holding a job, and perhaps best of all give them money to spend! Students who have gone through the TeenQuest program enter the workforce with a solid understanding of the skills it takes to be successful in the workplace. The perfect place to put those skills to work is with the Summer Youth Initiative (SYI), which provides TeenQuest students with the opportunity to work during the summer.

As part of TeenQuest, participants can take part in the Summer Youth Initiative, which helps them find summer employment as they put their skills to work. The SYI summer job fair is coming up fast and this year 27 businesses and nonprofit organizations will take part and be on hand to speak with potential applicants.

TeenQuest participants and graduates will get an application in their email to sign up for the summer job fair. If you have not received this email with the application link, you will want to check your Spam filter to make sure the email didn’t end up there. If you have changed your email address recently, you’ll want to navigate to the Flint & Genesee Education & Talent website to update your information.
